Polypropylene spacers are used in undercrossings and overcrossings where active pipelines must mandatorily be installed inside a protection casing pipe. Typical applications include crossings under roads, railways, rivers, bridges, walkways or when pipelines run alongside major roads, European roads or highways.

Advantages:

• Easy installation of the carrier pipe thanks to the plastic material which minimizes the friction coefficient between the two surfaces;
• By minimizing friction, it prevents damage to the protective layer and the pipe insulation;
• A wide range of spacer rib heights is available, ensuring concentric positioning of the carrier pipe inside the casing pipe when needed;
• Due to the excellent electrical insulation properties of the plastic material, all requirements of cathodic protection systems are fulfilled.

Pipes that transport fluids (e.g., gas, water, sewage) and pass under highways, main roads, railways, or riverbeds are often installed inside steel casing pipes. Sealing boots are used to seal the annular space between the carrier pipe and the casing pipe, protecting it against moisture, dust, and small animals.

The PSI range includes protective boots suitable for new installations as well as for the rehabilitation of existing constructions.

G-S-S Rubber–Steel Gasket with a vulcanized steel ring for increased dimensional stability, secure centering, and perfect sealing in accordance with DIN EN 1514-1 (PN 6–40).
