We offer a complete range of certified flexible couplings for non-pressure and low-pressure applications. These couplings are suitable for sewer systems, drainage, ventilation, and can be used on pipes made of plastic, clay, cement, metal alloys and steel.

Performance:

  • Service life: 100 years
  • Most flexible couplings are manufactured from a highly versatile rubber sleeve and stainless steel clamping bands
  • Flexible couplings are used on low-pressure or gravity-flow pipelines, where internal pressure is low. These pipelines operate under atmospheric pressure and internal pressure appears only when the pipe is blocked or overloaded. Therefore, pressure ratings generally do not pose safety concerns. In some installations, pressure values must be considered (for example, pumped sewer lines or processing lines), where the available pressure rating represents the maximum allowable pressure. It should be noted that in the event of pressure increase, leaks will occur rather than a complete coupling failure.
  • Manufacturing standards for flexible couplings require testing for tightness under internal pressure, deflection, deformation, and forced load. These tests demonstrate leak-tight performance in cases of root intrusion or ground movement.

Compounds:

Elastomer

Elastomers
In general terms, an elastomer is an elastic material, natural or synthetic. The elastomer compounds used in flexible couplings comply with European Standard EN 681-1. These requirements refer to the manufacturing process of flexible couplings, ensuring that the elastomer materials meet performance criteria and long-term durability expectations.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel
Stainless steel is used for the clamping bands and belongs to the austenitic steel family: containing 17%–18% chromium and 8%–11% nickel, in accordance with BS EN 295-4 and WIS4-41-01 manufacturing standards.

Flexi Bushes

Flexi Bush Rings, BC Type
Designed to be used together with SC couplings when pipe outside diameters differ significantly. Available thicknesses: 4, 8, 12, 16, 24 and 32 mm. BC Flexi Bushes are manufactured from EPDM rubber profile according to EN 681-1, cut and vulcanized into ring form. These solutions can also be used when there is a reduction or expansion in diameter, for connecting free pipe ends.

Flexring FR
Flexring FR installation

Flexi Bushes

Flexring FR
A universal set of sleeves with flexi bushes for connecting any type of DN 100, DN 150 & DN 200 pipes. The Flexring combines three different bush thicknesses in one product, allowing the user to fold or cut it to connect two pipes with different outside diameters. This solution is ideal when the pipe types in the ground are unknown. For example, FR 100 can compensate 3 mm, 6 mm, or, when folded, 9 mm difference in outside diameters.

Couplings, Type 2B All-In-One
Couplings, Type 2B All-In-One installation

Couplings, Type 2B All-In-One

They can connect any type of pipe with the same nominal diameter, regardless of the actual outside diameter. Have you ever uncovered a pipe during excavation and found surprises regarding its type or dimensions? In such cases, when outside diameters differ, you would normally use an AC adaptor coupling or a standard SC coupling with adaptor bushes, if shear forces between the pipe axes are limited. The 2B ALL-IN-ONE coupling replaces both of these products.

Unicon coupling Type 2B
Unicon coupling Type 2B installation

Unicon Coupling, Type 2B

A universal coupling for connecting any type of pipe, regardless of material or surface structure, for a given nominal diameter. Each UNICON couples sewage or stormwater pipes, within tolerance, whether the contact surface is smooth or corrugated.

SCW sleeves, Type 2B Extra Wide

SCW Sleeves, Type 2B Extra Wide

The SCW type, compliant with DIN EN 295 Part 4, is approved for sewer system construction using any pipe type (up to 620 mm OD). Its 300 mm width provides greater tolerance when cutting pipe ends, as well as increased mobility during installation or thermal expansion.

LCW sleeves, Type 2B Extra Wide

LCW Sleeves, Type 2B Extra Wide

The LCW type, in accordance with DIN EN 295, Part 4, is approved for the construction of sewer networks using any type of pipe (from 620 mm OD and above). LCW couplings from 620 mm upwards are calculated according to the customer’s specifications and manufactured to order. Production is possible in 1 mm increments (for example: 621, 622, 623 ...).

Magnum sleeves, Type 2B
Magnum sleeves, Type 2B installation

Magnum Sleeves, Type 2B

The MAG type, in accordance with DIN EN 295, Part 4, is approved for the installation of sewer networks made from any pipe material (from 320 mm OD and above).
The 370 mm width ensures resistance at pressures up to 4.0 bar. The unique MAGNUM coupling system is designed for extreme applications, withstanding up to 4.0 bar depending on diameter. The MAGNUM coupling, with its 370 mm width, is the widest repair and coupling sleeve on the European market. This width provides greater tolerance and allowable deviation when cutting pipe ends, as well as increased flexibility during installation and pipe laying. In addition, larger cracks or holes can be repaired.

Internal Couplings

Internal Couplings, ICON

Internal Couplings, ICON

Innovative jointing technology
This is a unique coupling that seals the pipe on its inner wall, while the tightening clamp remains on the exterior. The EPDM rubber profile together with the tensioning mechanism ensures a secure and tight connection for pipes ranging from DN 150 to DN 400. In the past, it was not possible to join two pipes in the manner shown in the attached image in a safe and permanent way.

Internal Couplings, Pushfit
Internal Couplings, Pushfit

Internal Couplings, Pushfit

Pushfit internal couplings for pipes with different outside diameters
The newly developed range of internal couplings introduces a new product to the ICON family. The PUSHFIT internal coupling is used for joining plastic, cast iron and steel pipes that have different external diameters. The new Pushfit coupling enters only 52 mm inside each pipe end and reduces the flow section by less than 10%. It complies fully with the test requirements of DIN EN 295-4.

Adaptor Couplings

AC adaptor couplings
AC adaptor couplings installation

AC Adaptor Couplings

They are designed for connecting pipes made of any material that have different outside diameters, in compliance with DIN EN 295-4.
AC adaptor couplings ensure the transition between pipes of different materials and also different nominal diameters. These adaptors should be used only in situations where shear forces can be avoided, such as uneven compaction or traffic loads. When these parts are used, special attention must be paid to the direction of flow.

AR adaptor couplings

AR Adaptor Couplings

AR adaptor (ribbed / corrugated)
These are intended for connecting corrugated plastic pipes to any other pipe type and material that have different outside diameters, according to DIN EN 295-4. The AR range is a coupling solution that incorporates a special extra-wide clamp at one end. This clamp engages two or more ribs of the corrugated pipe, ensuring a high-quality joint that is not affected by pipe position changes or movement.

Drainage Coupling

DC & PC Couplings

Type 1 couplings are intended for connecting pipes of any kind that have identical or similar outside diameters, according to DIN EN 295-4.
The Type 1 DC coupling is injection-moulded and equipped with medium-strength clamps at both ends. It is used in drainage systems where shear forces are absent and where no traffic loads act on the pipes. Available for outside diameters up to 275 mm.

Lateral Connections

Lateral connection FA-B / FA-ST

Lateral Connector, FA-B / FA-ST

The FA type is designed for any kind of pipe connected to concrete or ceramic pipelines. Ceramic pipes DN 150 or DN 200 can be connected directly to existing concrete pipelines or to concrete manhole walls. Other pipe types can also be easily connected using Flexring FA 150B and FA 200B. The concrete wall thickness for which these connectors are suitable varies between 50 mm and 150 mm.
