The technical designation of this valve range is due to the fact that:

Automatic diaphragm control valve
  • Opening, closing and regulating are performed by variations of pressure and flow in the pipeline (no external energy sources are required for operation).
  • Control and regulation are performed automatically in the circuit, thanks to hydraulic control circuits.
  • These circuits modulate the flow by actuating an elastic diaphragm that hermetically separates the two chambers of the main body.
  • The diaphragm profile and the highly hydrodynamic profile of the body provide the product with a lower head loss compared to other existing models.
  • The mode of operation of the diaphragm offers a full passage section for foreign bodies that might obstruct the water flow.
  • The body of the main valve can be equipped with several control options to meet all operating conditions encountered in the applications mentioned above.
  • These options include remote hydraulic control, solenoid electrical control, pressure reducing, pressure sustaining, relief and combinations of the above functions.

Main functions diaphragm control valves

On/off valves

On/off valve IM-CM4V

IM-CM4V • Manual valve

The 4-way cock has 3 indicated positions:
Auto
ON
OFF

Thus the main valve body is controlled by this manual cock.

On/off valve IM-EL

IM-EL • Electro-hydraulic valve

It can be equipped with a normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) solenoid.

WARNING!
If the valve is requested as normally closed (NC), the solenoid will be normally open (NO) and vice versa.

On/off valve IM-PROG

IM-PROG • Programmable valve

It is controlled by a battery-powered programmer to open a valve with electrical impulses.

On/off valve IM-SH

IM-SH • Remote control valve

The relay ensures the normally closed state of the main valve. Supplying the relay through an external pressurized water line will open the valve. When the pressure in the control line disappears, this valve will close again.

On/off valve IM-NR

IM-NR • Non-return valve

When the water flows in reverse, a circuit equipped with an AC-type cock can regulate the speed at which pressure increases in the control chamber CC, thus ensuring faster or slower closure.

Safety valves

Safety valve IM-SR

IM-SR • Quick relief valve

The pilot of this valve completely relieves pressure from the control chamber when the inlet pressure equals the preset value. Thus, the valve opens fully and immediately, allowing the upstream pipeline to discharge a large amount of accumulated water and energy. When the upstream pressure reaches normal values, the valve will close.

Pump protection valve IM-CP

IM-CP • Pump protection valve

Regulating valves

Regulating valve IM-RP3BP

IM-RP3BP • Pressure reducing valve

The valve is controlled by a 3-way pilot RP3B, which ensures the opening level of the diaphragm according to the pressure value. The pilot, set to a pressure, will ensure the relief or increase of pressure in the control chamber regardless of upstream fluctuations. When the upstream pressure is less than or equal to the downstream pressure, the valve opens fully.

Regulating valve IM-SP3BP

IM-SP3BP • Pressure sustaining valve

The valve is operated by a 3-way pilot SP3BP. It charges or discharges pressure from the control chamber to maintain a constant inlet pressure. When the inlet pressure is lower than the set value, the valve will close until the desired inlet pressure is reached.

Regulating valve IM-QP3B

IM-QP3B • Flow control valve

This valve is controlled by a differential 3-way pilot QP3B, which determines the diaphragm opening according to the instantaneous flow rate. The pilot charges or discharges water from the control chamber based on the differential pressure generated by the instantaneous flow passing through the calibrated orifice.

Level control valves

Level control valve IM-GAL

IM-GAL • Float valve

The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a valve actuated by a float arm, which sends a hydraulic signal to the control chamber of the main valve. It can be equipped with an AC-type cock to adjust the opening / closing speed of the main valve.
Control distance: max. 15 m
Height difference: max. 10 m

Level control valve IM-GAD1

IM-GAD1 • Differential horizontal float valve

The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a three-way piston valve and a float arm that sends a hydraulic signal to the control chamber of the main valve. It can be equipped with a CM4V cock for manual override of the main valve.
Control distance: max. 15 m
Height difference: max. 10 m

Level control valve IM-GAD2

IM-GAD2 • Differential vertical float valve

The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a three-way piston valve and an articulated float arm that sends a hydraulic signal to the control chamber of the main valve. It can be equipped with a CM4V cock for manual override of the main valve.
Control distance: max. 15 m
Height difference: max. 10 m

Level control valve IM-ALT

IM-ALT • Altitude valve

The hydraulic circuit is equipped with a pilot sensitive to hydrostatic pressure. If the hydrostatic pressure value in the reservoir is taken through a capillary, this pilot will command the closing or opening of the main valve according to the set water column height.

Anti water-hammer valves

Anti water-hammer valve VRCA

VRCA • Anti water-hammer valve

The valve is adjusted before installation so that it opens at the pressure considered critical for the system of which it is part. This adjustment is obtained by simply acting and adjusting the tension of the spring.

Once the force exerted by the compressed spring becomes lower than the water pressure in the network, the disc will be pushed towards its seat, closing the valve. The spring, dimensioned and calibrated to fulfil its function, is operated/adjusted by the threaded rod that presses on a compression plate.

Sealing is provided by a special polyurethane gasket, scratch resistant, embedded in the stainless steel disc. The seat is also made of stainless steel.

Automatic air release / air admission valves

Lynx 3F valve

Lynx 3F • Automatic air release / air admission valves

The Lynx 3F automatic air valve, with triple function, ensures optimal operation of pipeline networks, allowing the release of air pockets accumulated during operation, as well as the discharge and admission of large volumes of air during filling and draining operations of the pipelines.

ARGO valve

ARGO • Automatic air release / air admission valves

The ARGO automatic air valve, with triple function, for irrigation and water treatment applications, ensures optimal operation by allowing the release of air pockets accumulated during operation, as well as the discharge and admission of large volumes of air during filling and draining operations of the pipelines.
